Kristin Ramsdell

Contemporary, Historical, Suspense

Kristin Ramsdell has been a budding writer since she wrote the sixth grade play (a swashbuckler complete with capes and wooden swords), a romance reader since she discovered Betty Cavanna and Maureen Daly in her junior high library, and a science fiction fan since she discovered Robert Heinlein and Ray Bradbury in the same place. She is also the romance columnist for Library Journal, the author of a number of reference sources on romance fiction, including both versions of Romance Fiction: A Guide to the Genre (1999, 2012) and its predecessor, Happily Ever After; and a Librarian Emerita at California State University, East Bay. She received the Romance Writers of America Librarian of the Year Award in 1996 and the Melinda Helfer Fairy Godmother Award from Romantic Times in 2007.

She is currently working on a California-set historical with a touch of suspense and is considering a foray into the contemporary arena.
